Cooperative Education is an important step for a student in the progression towards a career and can be very influential in the process of deciding on education, career path, and entering the work force.  Studica’s Canadian office is a part of this process, taking the company’s desire to assist and enable students beyond what is capable in the classroom. Studica welcomes up to five COOP Students every school year in fields such as robotics, office management and administration, and graphic design.  Here is a word from our two most recent COOP Students:

“Hi, my name’s Stacy Uschner and I am a grade 12 student from Mayfield Secondary School. My current Co-op placement is with Studica, and it’s awesome! Studica provides a friendly work environment with Matt, Derek, Christina and Frank as my mentors. They have great insight on the working world and have really helped me grow over the past couple of months.

Next year, I’m going to Trent University to study Anthropology. Working with Studica has really opened my eyes as to what I’ll be seeing in the very near future. With Studica’s wide range of products, it’s great to know that our efforts are helping other students around the world learn and grow! I love the global impact Studica has. Shadowing as an Account Manager has been really cool! It has allowed me to speak with people all across Canada and really learn about time management, productivity and other important tools that I can take with me after I leave Studica. Studica had been a great Co-op experience and I’m going to be very sad to leave!!”

Hello! My name is Jessica Fong and I am a grade 11 student at Mississauga Secondary School and I am currently a co-op student here at Studica doing Graphic Design. Working at Studica has been a very open and friendly environment, especially when working with Derek, Frank, Matthew and Christina. After spending that past 3 months here, I have learned many essential skills and the skills required for a Graphic Designer. Working at Studica has given me a chance to learn and has also given me a chance to try a career that I was never sure about.

In the workplace a Graphic Designer does many things. A Graphic Designer’s main job is to problem solve and be able to deliver a message to others in an attractive and eye catching way. This message can be delivered in many ways including: print ads, web ads, film, and animation. Most of these items are done within Adobe programs such as Adobe Photoshop for manipulating, Adobe InDesign for layout, Adobe Illustrator for vector graphics, and Adobe Premier Pro for video editing and Adobe After Effects for creating effects in videos.

I think the most important thing I’ve learned is knowing my own creative style and that learning is a never ending process because there is so much to know. While at Studica I have also learned many skills like time management, decision making, and organization. My co-op experience is soon coming to an end and I am sure to miss it because of all the things I’ve learned in this open and friendly environment.”

Studica is again putting the student first by ensuring that the learning process is fun, interactive, and on the cutting edge.  Inside the classroom and out, Studica is your number one source for student success.

Studica is a proud part of this process, providing the professional solutions to teacher’s needs and the technology to prepare students for their future.  If you are in Canada and would like more information please contact Studica and we will help show you that all students can reach goals just like the students learning and honing their skills at Studica Limited.
