fischertechnik Education is expanding its free STEM curriculum to include fischertechnik’s Introduction to STEM II. The Introduction to STEM II is a more in-depth STEM set that focuses on technology and robotics. Similar to the Introduction to STEM I set, this curriculum uses everyday technology to engage students. These successful sets focus on tangible concepts that students are familiar with and build on this foundation to explore advanced principles.

Designed to meet current academic standards, these programs actively engage students and support a lasting comprehension and interest in STEM education concepts.

fischetechnik edu intro to stem 2The fischertechnik Education Introduction to STEM II set invites students to construct 12 easy-to-understand models, including: hand dryer, windshield wipers, a lighthouse with blinking light, merry-go-round, and an automatic sliding door. Engage students with hands-on activities that will help them develop an interest and aptitude in STEM subjects. This education set is recommended for grades 3-5, and includes standards-based curriculum.

Introduction to STEM II requires a computer for full programming functionality. This STEM curriculum incorporates ROBO Pro Light software, which makes programming easy to understand and allows students to get started quickly. It also includes the ROBO LT Controller. This controller serves as a microcontroller for all of your projects. As it is a progression from the Introduction to STEM I set, the Introduction to STEM II set is recommended for grades 3 and up.
