The American Library Association has declared November 12th “National Gaming Day”. The purpose is to reconnect communities via their libraries. The focus is the social, educational and recreational value of all different types of games. ALA has partnered with Game Studios across North America. Different game studio representatives will give presentations at local libraries discussing what game design entails. These presenations are focuses on teenagers and young adults and talk about what goes into creating a game and how to get started on a career in video game design.
