Hello again folks! I’ve got student contests for you! Last time around I announced our all-new, fischertechnik Young Builders Contest 2012, especially designed as a platform for young builders from age 5 to 9 to share their unique creations with the public …and win cool fischertechnik prizes! You can find all the details on this student contest by clicking here. This time around, I’d like to share a second student contest aimed at slightly older fischertechnik fans. Announcing …

The fischertechnik Advanced  Builder’s Student Contest  2012
Create a Unique fischertechnik Machine

(Open to all students ages 8 to 14 and above living within the United States and Canada)

Using only fischertechnik parts, build a machine of any type or any size. The machine must perform some sort of action, or ‘work’, but it is up to you to decide what that action is. The machine can perform a useful task, such as sorting something by color, or it can do something that is just ‘for fun’, such as moving balls around a multi-level maze. The emphasis should be on building something with motion that is visually appealing and shows off both your creative and mechanical skills.

Once you’ve built your machine, you can share your creation with us by shooting a short video of the machine in action, and then posting this video to YouTube. After you’ve done that, just send us a link. We will post all entries on StuTalk for voting. The entry with the most votes will win a brand new fischertechnik Pneumatic 3 set!

Enter as many times as you like! All entries must be received by December 14, 2012. To see complete details and to submit your entry, click here.

So until next time, happy building!
