Pantone prides itself on helping color professionals achieve the best possible color output, and now with the release of the Extended Gamut Coated Guide it is an even easier feat to accomplish! The new color guide uses the Pantone Matching System® simulated into a seven-color process. But, wait. What does that mean? It means that instead of matching color based on the tradition CMYK process, the Extended Gamut helps professionals use a high-quality, seven-color matching system – including Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (CMYK) plus commonly used Orange, Green and Violet (OGV) inks.
By adding OGV to the traditional CMYK inks, you can achieve a visual match for approximately 90% of the solid colors found in the Pantone Matching System!
Benefits of Pantone’s Extended Gamut
