Come visit us at the 122nd ASEE Annual Conference and Exposition in Seattle, Washington – from now until Tuesday, June 16th at the Exhibit Hall. We’ll be exploring the future of engineering with incredible software, curriculum, training and various projects from the innovators at PTC. The ASEE Annual Conference and Exposition is the only conference dedicated to all disciplines of engineering education. It is the perfect environment for us to unveil the power and precision PTC can bring to your classroom. Check out what’s in store for you at Booth #419!

Demonstrations, Giveaways and More at ASEE

PTC at ASEE 2015Studica has joined PTC at this year’s ASEE Conference and Expo to demonstrate how easy it is to deliver an academic advantage to your students by providing a smart, connected product development education. PTC is an industry leader in engineering and design – working with 28,000 customers to deliver smart, connected products. With this expertise the company established the PTC Academic Program, which is dedicated to delivering an academic edge with classroom solutions for connectivity, CAD and PLM. These solutions include software, curriculum, training and specifically designed projects that allow you and your students to develop smart, connected products.

Interested in seeing these products and services in action? Booth #419 is hosting a demonstration table where you can explore product design using PTC software, 3D printed designs and manufacturing finished products that incorporate a connection to ThingWorx. Design and 3D print components for robotics designs, quad-copters and sensory applications. Learn how a smart connection can transform these physical products into gateways to a whole information system. It’s all here at the ASEE 2015 PTC Booth! Stop by, get more information, and receive some fun giveaways.

PTC Distinguished Lecture: The Internet of Things

Our Studica and PTC team will be offering you relevant, hands-on exhibitions throughout the ASEE 2015 conference, but make sure you attend PTC’s Distinguished Lecture on the Internet of Things (IoT) on Wednesday, June 17th from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The PTC Academic Program focuses on supporting the engineers of the future, which starts with preparing them for future possibilities today. PTC innovators, John Stuart and Alister Fraser, will be presenting a lecture on the importance of IoT and the growing demand for well-educated, experienced IT engineers. The understanding of smart, connected product development has become a necessary skill for all graduates. Attending this lecture will give educators insight into how they can make sure students are provided with the necessary resources they need to meet global manufactures’ expectations.

Get a firsthand look at how an IoT toolkit allowed students to come up with ideas for connected products, design their mechanical parts using 3D modeling software, print them with a 3D printer, add inexpensive sensors, and put together their own monitoring and control applications. The comprehensive look at this technology will help you improve your engineering courses for the better.
