Tom White
Program Creator

There is this great article written by the former Project Lead the Way Director of Technology Tom White,  who has created the fischertechnik STEM Lab Program. The article discusses how project-based learning enhances STEM education. It dives in to detail about the importance of complying with standards and maintaining the written and literary components of a STEM Education curriculum that are often ignored.

He also explains how project-based learning is a student’s opportunity for deep exploration of a problem. This problem begins with an opportunity to plan, organize and conduct research. Then writing a proposal for a resolution meanwhile documenting ideas and solutions along the way.
