As the Holiday Season approaches, many people are in need and many wonderful acts of kindness & generosity are made. I’d like to take this opportunity to put a spotlight on one of Studica’s own, Steve Rice.  Here’s the story of what he and the other members of the Fats in the Cats Bicycle Club did to help others. It’s a heart-warming, fun story and may inspire each of us to give a little extra this holiday season. (Even if that little extra is simply a smile or a kind word.)

During their “Holiday Parade of Lights” also referred to as the “Christmas Ride” on Saturday, December 11th they dropped off gifts for all the children at a local Family and Children’s Shelter. Being bicycle enthusiasts they purchased 30 new bikes and helmets that were donated to local agencies who serve children, adolescents and young adults and distribute holiday gifts. This was no ordinary ride, all the members were dressed up like Santas. What a wonderful way to spread the cheer of the season!

They also adopted  two families and provided  them with holiday gifts for kids and some grocery store gift cards in order to brighten their holidays.

Steve has been with Studica since August of 1999 and is currently an Application Engineer in the northeast. He’s been married for over 40 years and is proud of his six grandchildren and three sons. He has been part of this holiday tradition for many years.

Thank you Steve for being an inspiration!
