Wacom has created a good resource for designers to create, connect and share their work in the Wacom community.  The community features groups on Photography, Illustration, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Motion & Sound and Mixed Media.  Within the various groups, you will find best practices, advanced techniques, recommendations, advice and feedback on your designs and how to work with your Wacom tablet.  The tips & tricks pages has input from community members for using the pen, the software, and other suggestions.  Wacom also has design contests from time to time in which winners receive various prizes.

Wacom pen tablets and displays have become valuable tools to professionals across a variety of industries; from animation to digital imaging, industrial design to medical illustration.  Many schools use the Cintiq and other Wacom tablets in their classrooms.  The LA Film School’s new computer animation program uses the Cintiq as a core element of the lab.  The program’s dean, Bobby Milly, regards the Cintiq as the future of animation production because of its digital workflow and the green solution it represents.  Frank Silas who has taught in the program is able to share his experiences with the Cintiq from his work as an artist at Rockstar Games.  Both Silas and Milly believe that learning the Cintiq’s all-digital workflow as beginning animators prepares students for the workplace environments they will encounter and makes them attractive to future employers.

The Wacom Cintiq is available as a large format 21 inch,  and low profile 12 inch.
Both products are available at Studica.com
