Mechanical Drum
Leonardo da Vinci's Mechanical Drum is a cart equipped with an amply sized drum. When pulled or set in motion the gears turn the two lateral drums which are fitted with peg cams. These pegs move ten sticks (five on each side) that in turn beats the drum. The pegs could be placed in various positions to alter the rhythm of the music.
The scientific genius of Leonardo da Vinci is brought to life through this articulated model.
