The whole set of cameras is attached to a central node, which in turn can be attached to any moving object. During recording, the director can press the numbers 1 through 0 (for the 10th camera) and the current view will shift to the respective camera. The benefit is not only having ten attached cameras, but having a quick and seemless transition between pre-defined positions.

At the touch of a button, the CurrentState camera will move to any one of the ten WantedState cameras. Each WantedState camera can be attached to a different object, or key-framed manually. During recording the camera moves at a speed determined by you between the various points of view. The camera's position and rotation are recorded in keyframes automatically.

In the picture below there are two of the many use-cases that Craft MultistateCam has. In both cases the camera moves seemlessly from following one car to following the other. In one case when one car overtakes another, in the second case when two cars meet on the road. The same methods can be used with characters. This is all part of Craft Director Tools amazing ability to create professional CG cinematics.
