How Quark App Studio Works:

Using App Studio, you can:

• Create your own branded app using App Studio Factory.
• Test your issue files using App Studio Issue Previewer on your iPad.
• Easily manage and publish issues to your app with the App Studio Publishing Portal.
• Optionally sell your content using in-app purchases and in-app subscriptions.
• Add automation and collaboration with enterprise capabilities.

Important

Each time you wish to publish a new issue to your app, you will need to purchase a new issue license pack or redeem one of
the issue licenses already purchased. Expires 12 months from the date of redemption in the App Studio Publishing Portal. Note that if you have not redeemed your issue license pack within 90 days of your purchase, the 12 month expiry period will begin automatically.

Type of App Templates:

Embedded issue template: create an app that includes a single issue embedded right in the app.
Customers who buy this app get the issue automatically, and cannot buy other issues. Embedded
issue templates are useful when you want to sell a single publication as an app.

Kiosk template (one title, multiple issues): browse a selection of issues that are associated
with a particular tile or collection. When they find one they want, they can purchase it using Apple's
in-app purchase or subscription feature. Kiosk templates are best suited for magazine titles.

Bookstore template: browse the issues available in one or more collections. Bookstore templates are
best suited for book collections.
