Avid Skills Competition Website























Welcome to the Avid Skills Competition Website

This website is an online center for students to compete for prizes, as well as showcase their work amongst peers, other schools and possible employers! High School, Undergraduate, and Graduate students select and enter a competition where they will use the designated software.

Entrants must be students or student groups (not greater than 5). Winning projects may be showcased on this site and may be used in advertisements on websites, posters, radio or TV commercials. Select a competition, fill out an entry form and get started immediately.

Teachers are encouraged to make participation in the Studica.com Skills competitions an in-class activity to enhance the learning experience of their students and provide them with an outside the school opportunity to showcase their talents.

Digital Video Competition IV

The purpose of this competition is to evaluate the student's ability, skill, and knowledge of digital video editing. Students may use any digital editing software available, however Studica suggests the following software:

Competition Theme - The Secret Life Of... - Students can work alone or team up into groups no larger than five individuals to create their final submission. Entrants are to create a short feature exposé video.

TV Broadcast Competition IV

The purpose of this competition is to evaluate the student's ability, skill, and knowledge of TV Broadcasting. Students can use any multitude of software/hardware, and Studica suggests the following:

Competition Theme - Stay Tuned - Students may work individually or in groups no larger than five to create a teaser/trailer for a show of any genre. Entries should not be shows in their entire length, but a brief summary of what's to come.
