Q: So, what's in it for ME?
| A: That great feeling you get by accomplishing
something! That AND awesome prizes (software, hardware, electronics, etc.). See individual
competitions for prize distribution. |
Q: How do I get in on this action?
| A: Click on the competitions that interest you
to learn what is required to enter. Sign up and upload
your entry when you are ready. But remember; the sooner you get the entry
in, the better it is for you, as once your entry is in people can start
voting for you! |
Q: Who can enter?
| A: Competitions are open to ALL current students worldwide. Students may collaborate in student groups (no greater than 5 people) and enter as many competitions as they wish. Q: What about teachers and schools? You promised us cool
stuff too!
Q: The Studica Skills competitions are just too good to
be true. What's the catch?
| A: No catch, what-so-ever. The Studica Skills competitions
are free to ALL who participate. No entry fees. No purchase required to
participate. Really. Studica Skills is simply our way of saying "Thank You!"
to the education community that has been so good to us here at Studica. We love to see what the students are doing with all of that
software that we sell, and Studica Skills gives us a great opportunity
to learn even more about the possibilities of what the software we sell
everyday can do. Regardless of where you bought your software from, you are
welcomed and encouraged to participate in the Studica Skills competitions. |
Q: How does the voting system work?
| A: Visitors to StudicaSkills.com
are encouraged to vote for as many different entries as they like. You can come back and vote every day for your favorite entries! |
Q: How are the winners determined?
| A: We think we have as fair a system as possible for
determining the winners for the Studica Skills competitions. Of course, art
is subjective and can be difficult to judge, so we try to mix it up in the
judging to get as balanced and fair as we can. First, voting counts! Once
you upload your entry, vote for it! Send the link to your entry to anyone
you wish to so that others may vote for you as well. Everyone who has
Internet connection has access to view and to vote for any of the entries in
the Studica Skills competitions. We suggest that you go through the other
competitions and vote for the work you like the best there, too. At the end
of each competition, Studica Skills will advance the Top 20
entries purely by vote count to the Finals for that competition Our panel of
judges will select the final three winners for the competition from the 20
Finalists. The decision of the judges is final. Winners and Finalists will
be announced in news releases to trade publications and also be listed on
the Studica Skills website. An e-mail will also be sent to all entrants once
decisions have been made. |

| A: A judging panel of Professors/Teachers/Instructors
who teach or have expertise in the relevant field and/or qualified Studica
Skills staff and/or industry experts and/or sponsor staff will conduct the
final round of judging after the Finalists are selected by the open voting.
