The product works

There is really nothing bad I can say about it, it works the way it should and simplifies a lot the interaction with MyDaq. Definitely a good purchase.

Shipping is so fast .. Got it within a week.

Neat add-on that makes it attach a bit easier to the NI myDAQ with a little less jumper wires than simply using a "loose" breadboard. They only drawback is that it cannot neatly remain in the NI myDAQ OEM packing, but I don't really consider that a complete negative aspect.

A must-have for your myDAQ
by Javier Gonzalez on August 27, 2015
In summary, this item is a huge time saver when paired with a myDAQ device. Without this, you'd have to run multiple individual wires from the myDAQ (using a small screwdriver to secure the leads) into your breadboard. Hope you used the right socket, and do not make contact with other connected stray wires. This item eliminates all that hassle and clutter. It is very convenient and useful, and saves a ton of time. Construction is excellent. Components used in the build are top quality. All the little things you expect from a helper item are there - battery slot, descriptions conveniently silk screened on the board, mini-breadboards, and very nice physical integration with the myDAQ. Everything lays out nicely and I can't think of any changes I'd make if in charge of redesigning it. However, this is not a cheap item. I saved a bit by including it in a bundle, but the price is pretty high for a passive wire matrix. I would not recommend this for a student short on cash, but if you have the means, and your time is worth money, this is a must purchase. I would have given it 5 stars had the price been lower by at least $10.

Before I purchased the protoboard, I had to use a screwdriver to connect jumper wires between the myDAQ and a breadboard to make measurements on a circuit. It worked but it made measurements more time consuming and error-prone (because a bunch of wires were involved). The myDAQ protoboard is a cleverly constructed device that snaps into the myDAQ and allows signal routing and measurement setup with a few short jumper wires. The board is clearly labeled and it is built to last. The 9V battery holder is very useful as well. I would rate it as an essential companion to the myDAQ. While it is easy to jumper between the protoboard and your breadboard, it often happens that you want to experiment with components before settling on a set of values. This is easier to do on a separate board. After the measurements are done, you can transfer the components to the circuit.
