Do you teach AutoCAD and you’re considering a move to Autodesk Inventor? It’s a perfect time to look at Inventor because Autodesk offers fresh and relevant class resources and curriculum at the free online Sustainability Workshop.

Autodesk helps Design and Engineering Students bring their ideas to life with real-world, hands-on, project based learning.  Autodesk products help to shape much of the built world- from buildings, roads, utilities, and entire cities, to cars, electronics, packaging, and shoes. Now, the curriculum incorporates economical and plant saving concepts.

The online workshop contains tutorials and short informative videos that introduce core concepts of sustainable design, such as “Whole Systems Design”, “Lightweighting,” and links to other resources. Students gain knowledge as content focuses on the 21st Century problems students love to solve, and provides “Green” techniques and energy efficient tools. Give your students a leg-up by exposing them to Eco-Friendly, socially and environmentally responsible job skills.

The Autodesk Education Community is geared toward post-secondary engineering students, but the content is free and accessible to anyone. We hope that it will also be useful to professors, professionals, graduate students, and high school students.
