Hello once again from the fischertechnik Division at Studica! As many of you who regularly read my entries know, I usually share some information on those fischertechnik kits addressing specific topics, such as robotics, pneumatics, or renewable energies.  Today I’d like to tell you about some special kits that will help you explore these areas, as well as many, many more. Introducing the fischertechnik Middle School STEM Lab and fischertechnik High School STEM Lab sets:

fischertechnik Middle School STEM LAB:

fischertechnik High School STEM Lab:

The fischertechnik STEM lab sets are EXCLUSIVE to Studica/fischertechnik, and are the perfect enhancement to any school program already incorporating fischertechnik, or for those of you already familiar with using the fischertechnik construction system. These special collections of parts do not include any specific instructions or model guidelines, but rather are an excellent way to affordably expand the creative options and capabilities of your existing fischertechnik classroom program. Each assortment includes hundreds and hundreds of different parts…from blocks and struts to pulleys and wheels, to switches, bulbs, gears, axles, wheels, pneumatic cylinders, motors, wires, photocells and even screw drivers! Not only that, but every kit also includes not one, but 2 fuel cells, 2 solar panels, and 2 ROBO TX Controllers WITH power supplies! (Please note if you don’t already have it, you will need a copy of the easy-to-use ROBO Pro graphic programming software, available both in very affordable single user license versions as well as ridiculously cheap school site licenses)

The fischertechnik STEM Lab sets are ideal for building an almost endless array of mechanisms, robots and devices…everything from solar or fuel cell powered vehicles to creating automated robotic sorting machines, to whatever else your students can conceive and create. These are also excellent tools for challenging students to come up with their own design and engineering solutions to technology based problems.  To find out more about the fischertechnik STEM Labs, please contact Studica directly at (888) 561-7521 to speak to your dedicated Educational representative.

And just to give you a few ideas of some of the wonderfully creative things that can be done with fischertechnik, I want to share some videos with you. While not all built exclusively from the materials included in our fischertechnik STEM Lab sets, these will at least give you an idea of the range of models which can be built.

First up is a simple and fairly straight-ahead marble sorting machine:

Next we have a robotic sweeping machine, utilizing fischertechnik parts, the fischertechnik ROBO TX Controller, and a few household sponges:

And finally, to end on a more ‘fun’ note…and since it’s finally warming up and we’re getting closer to summer, here is a very cool example of that amusement park staple ride, the bumper cars, built once again from fischertechnik:

That’s all for this time…as always, if you have any questions whatsoever, please feel free to email me directly at [email protected]

So until we meet again, happy building!
