ACTE (The Association for Career and Technical Education) is currently hosting their annual international CareerTech Vision 2012 Summit where technical education professionals from around  the globe are descending on Atlanta to meet, explore and learn about new developments in education. The Expo is taking place at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center from November 29th through Saturday December 1st.

Tom White, former Project Lead the Way Director of Operations  and currently the creator of fischertechnik STEM Lab Curriculum Program, will be presenting his new creation Thursday November 29th from 2:00pm to 2:50pm . Tom created the fischertechnik STEM Lab Program with curriculum to meet common core standards for math, reading, writing, as well as the National Science Education Standards and standards of the ISTE and ITEEA. Tom discusses programs are designed to fill about 6 months of class time and are an affordable alternative to other Private and Public Curriculum Partnerships. He will also be spending some time at the Studica/fischertechnik booth #1131. Tom has also authored an article that discusses how project-based learning enhances STEM education.
