Unity3D announces Graphics Engine support for Windows 8 & Windows Phone 8

Unity3D has announced at their UNITE 2012 Conference in Amsterdam, that they will be supporting Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8.

Unity CEO David Helgason stated, “Our mission at Unity has always been to provide solutions for developers to effortlessly bring their work to as many different platforms as possible,” Helgason said.  “The Unity community has been asking for access to Windows Phones and have been eagerly anticipating the release of Windows 8.  We’re happy to announce that we will support both.”

Unity 4, available in beta, and as a free upgrade for customers purchasing 3.5 now, has seen rapid adoption in schools across the country.  Take a moment to view a recorded webcast detailing Unity for High Schools.
