PocketLab Voyager is an all-in-one science lab that is capable enough for a professional engineer and simple enough for a 4th grade student. Voyager can measure motion, light, magnetic fields, and weather, and you can attach an external temperature probe (*temperature probe not included). PocketLab Voyager works with the award winning PocketLab app and the innovative VelocityLab app. Stream real time data from multiple sensors to your device where you can view, graph, record, and save data as a spreadsheet. PocketLab Voyager includes an optical range finder that works from 10cm to 2 meters, and is perfect for measuring the speed and position of moving objects like physics carts or falling objects. What is on board memory? PocketLab Voyager and PocketLab Weather have on board memory to store 30,000 data points. This can be used for situations where your device is out of range of the PocketLab, for example, weather balloons, high altitude rockets, underwater, or installed at a remote weather station. PocketLab Voyager and Weather can store data and then download it when you reconnect.
The Tactile Pressure Sensor plugs into the jack on your PocketLab Voyager and adds a pressure sensitive pad that you can use for all kinds of experiments from force and motion, a programming input for Scratch, and even make customized sensing devices like a scale or grip sensor.
PocketLab Weather is a tiny, portable weather sensor that can measure temperature, humidity, light, barometric pressure, altitude, heat index, and dew point. Inside PocketLab Weather are tiny sensors that take very accurate measurements, and then send the data in real time wirelessly to an app on a smart phone or laptop. You can view, graph, store, and export the data from our award winning PocketLab app. PocketLab Weather also has an plug-in external probe for measuring temperature - you can dip it in liquids, measure the temperature inside your refrigerator, stick it in the soil, tape to a surface - anywhere you need to get an accurate temperature reading. PocketLab Weather is light and rugged. It is powered by a rechargeable internal battery. It is great to take on a hike, or for earth science in a classroom. Our on-line community has lesson plans and experiments that you can do with PocketLab Weather to understand how light, temperature, heat transfer works, or to study climate and share data with others around the world.
Protects your PocketLab from abuse - similar to a cell phone case. Offers additional attachment options for straps or lanyards.
Temperature probe for PocketLab Voyager & Weather:
PocketLab Voyager and Weather both have a mini jack that can accept a temperature probe - plug in the probe and you can measure temperature in liquids, inside a refrigerator, in the soil, attached to surfaces, anywhere you can insert or attach the flexible temperature probe.
