Features of NI LabVIEW Academy Curriculum Package

The instructional materials for the NI LabVIEW Academy Curriculum Package includes:

  • Instructors’ Guide with suggested 10-, 12-, and 15-week syllabuses
  • Library of exercises and solutions (including VIs)
  • Supplemental LabVIEW quiz questions
  • Instruction to access Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) preparation materials

Curriculum Contents

The LabVIEW Academy program is made up of the same LabVIEW Core 1 and 2 classes offered for industry training. The Instructors' Guide provides educators the guidance they need to teach these Core courses following a 10-, 12-, or 15-week syllabus. Each syllabus includes:

LabVIEW Academy Course Delivery and Program Requirements

Instructors must adhere to the following requirements:

  • Carry the CLAD designation
  • Follow all LabVIEW Academy curriculum standards
  • Purchase the LabVIEW Academy curriculum package
  • Teach 30 hours of classroom instruction
  • Distribute 20 hours of homework exercises
  • Assign 20 hours of projects based on LabVIEW
  • Have at least one dedicated classroom
  • Require one PC per student
  • Use DAQ hardware or the NI Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite (NI ELVIS)
  • Have a local server to download and deliver learning materials
