How Do I Place An Order?

As you browse our site at www.studica.com, you can add items you would like to purchase to your shopping cart by clicking the “Add to Cart” button. Should an item you requested require a quote, you must click the “Quote” button and our system will gather additional information from you. When you have finished shopping, click on the shopping cart icon to the right of your screen, select “Checkout Now” and follow the instructions to complete your transaction.

In order to take full advantage of Studica's services, we encourage you to register online and create an account to complete your order. This will allow our store to keep you informed as we fulfill and process your order quickly and easily. However, should you prefer, Studica does provide a “Guest Checkout”. What Forms of Payment are Accepted?

Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Paypal. We also accept certified check or money order. For schools, we accept purchase orders based on approval. For wire payment, contact us for the info.

How Do I Return To View My Order After I Completed My Purchase?

Following the completion of your purchase, you will be able to log into your account at any time to verify the status of your order. Simply, return to www.studica.com and click on “My Account” in the top right corner of your screen. Your account gives you access to certain downloads and allows you to upload education verification. Customers that completed their order via “Guest Checkout” do not have access to these features and will have to contact Studica by e-mail or call us at 800-561-7520 (M-F 9am-5pm Eastern Time Zone) for order information.

How Do I Know If A Product I Want To Purchase Requires Proof of Status?

After selecting an item that requires verification, your shopping cart will display the product with an information icon next to the product name and a note below your order making you aware verification is required. Following the completion of your purchase, you will also receive an email that notifies you current, dated verification must be sent to Studica before we can ship your order. Please note, your order status will say "Awaiting Education Verification" or "Awaiting Non-Profit Verification".

Studica does not gather verification for all of the products we sell; some manufacturers have their own requirements. Your order may be subject to the manufacturer's verification process. You may contact us to establish the verification of an item, or await further instruction via e-mail following your purchase. Due to limits imposed by certain manufacturers, some items are limited to one item per verification. Please read product license descriptions carefully prior to purchase.

Education Verification: What Is Acceptable Proof Of Student/Faculty Status?

Different manufacturers have different requirements. Please check our Who Can Order page for specific manufacturer requirements. If the manufacturer you are looking for is not listed, you need to provide evidence that you are currently enrolled or employed at an academic institution.

The following are acceptable forms of proof for education verification:

  • Copy of a dated student ID
  • Copy of a dated tuition bill (for students)
  • Copy of a recent pay stub (for Faculty)
  • Official/Unofficial student transcript
  • Dated letter from your school confirming you are enrolled/employed there for the noted academic calendar year (both students and faculty)
Non-Proft Verification: What Is Acceptable Proof ?

For Non-Profit organizations ordering qualified Non-Profit items a copy of your organization's 501c3 IRS determination letter is required.

How Do I Send Studica My Proof?

You can upload, fax or e-mail your student/faculty/non-profit proof. You will receive an upload link via email after you place your order. You can also send via our online form (You must be logged into your account for this option) or fax to 905-564-1377.

Uploaded files must be less than 10MB. Accepted file formats are Bmp, Gif, Jpeg, Jpg and Tif.

Emailed files must be less than 5MB. This can be done by using a lower quality setting on your digital camera or scanning your document at 200 DPI or less.

How Will I Know That You Received My Proof Of Student/Faculty/Non-Profit Status?

Once we receive and accept your proof, your order status will change from "Awaiting Education Verification" or "Awaiting Non-Profit Verification" to "Processing Order." At the time your order ships, your status will change to "Shipped."

Can I Use My Student Account Or Student Voucher To Place An Order?

Studica does not accept student vouchers or any form of campus cash. Purchases must be made with a valid credit card or Paypal account.

When Can I Expect Delivery Of My Order?

Orders usually ship within 2-3 business days provided that the item is in stock, and your current education verification is on file for items that require it. During checkout, you are able to select your preferred shipping method. In most cases, Ground, 2-Day, or Overnight services are available. Please note: Studica does not deliver to P.O. Box addresses. Delivery time does not include holidays and weekend days. For example, Overnight orders placed on Friday will not be delivered until Monday. Ground shipping can take up to 6 business days to reach the shipping address once your order has been picked up for delivery from Studica.

NOTE: Software downloads are not received instantly. Please follow the instructions via the e-mail address you provided to access your download. Receipt time is dependent on the manufacturer and could take several days.

Should an item you ordered be out of stock, delivery time may be extended. Please contact us to verify an item's availability.

When is Shipping Cost Calculated In My Order?

Shipping costs are dependent on both the shipping address you provide and the shipping method you select during checkout. After this information is entered, your shipping cost is calculated and added to your total. For customers placing orders from countries outside of our main store location, the shipping estimate may vary. A Studica representative will verify the shipping requirements for your country and update your shipping cost accordingly. In the event that the cost is different than what was quoted at checkout, you will be notified through the contact information you provided.

My Shipping Status Is “Allocated” What Does This Mean?

A shipping status of “Allocated” indicates that your items have been reserved for you. For orders of tangible products, this term indicates that your order has been packaged, labeled and is ready to be shipped. It is awaiting pick up. For orders of digital product downloads, this status update notes that the manufacturer has been made aware of your purchase and is responsible for fulfilling your order. Studica will continue to monitor your transaction until your receipt of the download.

When Will My Credit/Debit Card Be Charged?

Studica receives payment for all orders at the time of shipment. Should you use a debit card for your purchase, funds may be withdrawn upon completion of your order. This is dependent on your bank. However, we normally receive the funds from credit/debit card payments at the time of shipment.

What Is Your Return Policy?

For unopened and unregistered products, Studica offers a 30 day return policy. Software downloads are not eligible for return, since they are considered open upon receipt. To ensure that an item is authorized for return, please contact us via e-mail or at 800-561-7520 (M-F 9am-5pm Eastern Time Zone).

Shipping fees are not refundable and the item(s) may be subject to a 15% restocking if a new order is not placed at the time of return. Studica does not offer refunds on defective products – defective products will either be handled directly with the manufacturer or will be exchanged for a new replacement item.

Is My Credit Card Safe At Studica?

Yes, your credit card information is safe at Studica. Studica.com is concerned about your security and has taken, measures to protect you against the loss, misuse, and alteration of your information that we have under our control. We employ an SSL Extended Validation (EV) Certificate issued by the Network Solutions.

Studica.com has securely processed hundreds of thousands of credit card transactions since 2000. We use the latest security technology, including EV Certificates that provide a higher level of validation and are available to business and government entities only. The EV process ensures that Studica is an established, legitimate business with secure systems in place to process transactions between Studica and its credit card payment processor. It also provides visual assurance by turning your browser address bar green. This function is available on all modern browsers.

Studica does not store your credit card information provided during the checkout process. All transactions are facilitated by the PayPal Payment Service. PayPal processes all credit card information over a secure, encrypted SSL communications channel. Studica's website are continually scanned and monitored for any malware by Beyond Security, McAfee Secure and Symantec Safe Site.
