You can now give your students an immersive learning experience with Edge Factor VR. This new Virtual Reality application is designed for students and educators to bring experiential learning to the next level. In this article, we will discuss what Virtual Reality is, its applications for education – particularly for Career Exploration, and the new Edge Factor VR app.

What is Virtual Reality (VR)?

Basically, Virtual Reality is a completely simulated experience. You are probably familiar with the game Pokémon Go. That is an example of Augmented Reality where real-life elements are mixed with virtual elements. Virtual reality replaces reality entirely and puts the user in a fictitious environment. For instance, you could be sitting on your couch, but in your VR headset, you are swimming in the ocean observing sea life. A virtual reality experience can be similar to the real world or something completely different.

Why Use Virtual Reality for Education?

Virtual Reality provides an immersive learning experience. With it, you can change how distance learning works. You can create a virtual classroom that allows students to interact with each other using a digital version of themselves.

With an immersive environment, students can learn by doing. They interact and experience technology. Immersive technology boosts enthusiasm and engagement helping students be creative and gain practical knowledge. It resonates with the needs of kinesthetic, visual, auditory, and tactile learners.
