About Engineer Your World

There are two courses available from Engineer Your World; EYW: Engineering Design and Analysis and EYW: Engineering Applications of Computer Science. These powerful courses were designed by a team of University of Texas faculty and staff, in collaboration with secondary education specialists and NASA engineers, and are based on the following six course design principles:

  1. Tightly scaffolded material
  2. The engineering design process is at the core.
  3. Employs authentic engineering practices.
  4. Utilize math and science as tools for engineering design.
  5. The message of engineering’s potential to impact is foundational.
  6. Reinforce that there is no right answer, multiple successful solutions exist.
