As a sweet way to celebrate their one year anniversary Sumdog is allowing everyone to access Sumdog Reading free from February 10th until Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14 – still looking for Sweet Deals?). If you haven’t heard of Sumdog, they offer a ton of educational games to for teachers to use to help motivate their students to learn math and reading. They pride themselves on being fun for students, adaptive to different students’ needs and being easy for teachers and schools to set up. Give it a try – Sumdog reading answers thousands of questions on a wide range of topics such as sight words, vocabulary, parts of speech  and tenses. Normally, you would need a subscription to this reading program but now you can try it out for free.

How to Use SumDog Reading

The questions for reading utilize some of the same games and their mathematics program. In order to access the reading questions, you simply click on the “reading” tab on the upper left corner of the Sumdog homepage. From there, you can select what skills you want to focus on. They are also allowing teachers to set up fun activities for their students so they can run a live class using the English Language questions. You can create your own challenges or competitions within the program.
