Rendering Reality at the speed of light, Lumion 3.0 provides revolutionary speed and video quality. This new release will take architectural videos to a whole new level.

Lumion has introduced some major new features  in version 3 which include global illumination, 3d sound capabilities, accurate reflections on planar surfaces, detailed rendering through multiple layers of glass. There are many new high-quality tree, character, and static models, and ultra-realistic sky and cloud rendering.

What is global illumination you ask? Well Lumion 3 has the ability to simulate light bouncing off surfaces. This addition to Lumion’s lighting algorithm allows for light to bounce off surfaces then illuminate nearby surfaces.  By enabling this new feature images look warmer and more natural and color tones are enriched so your end product looks incredibly realistic.

Previously users may have imported there completed Lumion Production to video editing software to enhance some of the ambient environmental sounds. Now Lumion 3 allows a sounds volume, pitch, and direction to adapt based on the position of the camera.

Lumion 3 now has more models than ever with an extended high-quality plant and tree models. And the models also come in clusters allowing users to create forests and dense vegetation efficiently. Lumion has also added several new character models of people in everyday poses they can be inserted in to scenes and really set the tone for the environment you’re demonstrating. Also if you need aircrafts, sports fields, boats or garden furniture Lumion has added many brand new models to support your creations.

Lumion already had an excellent sky creation system. But now, skies are completely customizable with tools that enable users to define lighting, density, and cloud shape that interact with wind light and other changes in the environment.
