California Partnership Academies (CPA)
The CPA model is a three-year program (grades ten-twelve) structured as a school-within-a-school. Academies incorporate integrated academic and career technical education, business partnerships, mentoring, and internships.

Total Available: $750,000.00
Due Date: March 7, 2011
Required Eligibility Criteria: This is special funding for the CPA Program. Schools participating in the program must follow the specification of California Education Code sections 54690-54696.
Funding Description: This funding is for planning grants for 2010-11 for schools intending to implement a California Partnership Academy (CPA) in any industry sector in 2011-12 and is contingent on inclusion in the approved State Budget. Funding will be provided through the Governor Technical Education Initiative. The CPAs are effective school / district / business partnerships, providing integrated academic and career technical instruction. The CPA model is a school-within-a-school for students interested in exploring, preparing for careers, and college.
