Current Autodesk licenses with an active subscription are entitled to use previous releases of Autodesk products with certain limitations. Among these limitations is a limit on the number of versions you may go back. This limit is three years from the current release in use.

Autodesk has provided two whitepapers to assist in understanding how the use of previous releases affects your license pool.  This information will help you avoid depleting your license pool unexpectedly.
