Standards-Based Online English Development

Language Tree OnlineLanguage Tree Online provides personalized, multi-sensory English Language Development (ELD) tools that are specifically designed for secondary school students. These digital programs are aligned with the latest ELD standards to make sure that your students will build a strong foundation across all domains of language.

Using videos that showcase realistic peer-to-peer interactions, students are given the opportunity to see how language is used in a natural and appropriate situational context. These are interactive and online lessons students can access with any connected device allowing for in-class and distance learning. These programs can be supported through Title I and Title III funds.

ELD Programs Available

There are currently two programs available:

ELD Level 1 is designed for newcomer, beginner, and emerging English learners in grades 6 to 12. It helps students gain critical language skills they need to progress to the next level of English proficiency. This program also addresses the social-emotional needs of these students by accelerating acculturation and understanding of American school norms to help them build confidence and a sense of belonging.

ELD Level 2 was developed for secondary grade (Middle/High School) students. This program embeds content and vocabulary related to math, social studies, and sciences to help students better understand academic language. Put your students on the path to proficiency with lessons covering advanced literacy skills (such as diagraphs, complex vowel combinations, spelling patterns), complex linguistic and grammatical structures, and speaking practice.

Both programs offer assessments aligned with ELD standards to reveal any language gaps students may have so you can focus on those areas. They also fit well into TESOL, ELL, ESL, and ESOL programs.
