Continuing on where we left off in our last fischertechnik post, here are the other three new releases from ft for 2012:

fischertechnik Advanced Rolling Action Set (#516183):

This is an all new offering from the folks at fischertechnik, and it is ideal for students age 7 and above. The set consists of 260 components for building 6 different models where balls race across the unique flex-rails through various obstacle courses. They can be accelerated and decelerated with the use of a launching lever or the pre-tensioned catapult, cause chain reactions, shoot through loops, run over seesaws, or even move up an elevator with the help of a counter weight.  While the models built are for fun, they also serve as an excellent example of how energy is transformed in a chain reaction.

The Advanced Rolling Action Set can easily be combined with all other fischertechnik sets, and is an ideal compliment to the PROFI Dynamic Set [Fun with Physics].  This set will begin shipping in late March.

fischertechnik Profi Cars & Drives (#516184)

Contains 270 components and detailed instructions for building 8 different models illustrating how different types of drives work.  Some models may be used in conjunction with the Motor Set XM and Control Set (each sold separately) for remote control abilities. Like all Profi sets, this also includes an additional multi language teaching and activity guide. Expected ship date for this set is late June/early July 2012.

fischertechnik Profi Pneumatic 3 (#516185)

 This set helps students to learn about the principles of pneumatics and uses realistic models to demonstrate how compressors, pneumatic valves and cylinders work. The new, powerful and compact compressor guarantees a reliable supply of compressed air to the models. This newly revised set combines a series of educational models with several that are more fun-oriented, all  to provide students with essential background knowledge on the subject of movement with air.  360 components in all, including  compressor, four pneumatic cylinders, four 4/3-way manual vales, multi language teaching and activity guide as well as full color instructions for building 8 different models. Requires 9V battery or Accu Set (not included). Expected ship date for this set is also late June/early July 2012.
