Lumion 11 New Features

There are many new features to discuss. Before we get started, please note that all the new features are included in the Lumion 11 PRO version. However, in the regular Lumion 11 version, many of these features are not included. Items denoted with * in the section below are only included in the PRO version.

One of the top new features in Lumion 11 is Orthographic View. At every stage of the design process, you can now add color, texture, and life into your technical renderings. Another feature is the new Animated phasing* effect (Pro only). With this feature, you can show the process behind your project’s development using the power of animation.

You can also breathe the nuances of life into your CAD designs with Rain streaks* (Pro only), Volumetric fire* (Pro only), and the Metallic car shader* (Pro only). There are also 401 new objects* including fine-detail nature models, interior models, animated people, animals, and more. (Many of these are Pro only.) There are 63 new high-quality materials such as carpets, wood floors, sidings, and slate panels.

Enjoy a simpler rendering workflow with Custom IES spotlights, RAL color picker, and high-quality theater preview. Plus, there are new basic tutorials for new users to help them get up to speed even faster. Other workflow improvements include an updated user interface, updated color picker, custom value input, and proxies for better FPS. LiveSync for BricsCAD

Lumion LiveSync continues to extend to new CAD packages allowing you to create a real-time and seamless rendering connection with Lumion and leading CAD programs. The latest in this long list of real-time rendering possibilities is LiveSync for BricsCAD, available in Lumion 11. LiveSync also has plug-ins for Autodesk Revit, SketchUp, Rhinoceros, Vectorworks, AutoCAD, and Graphisoft ArchiCAD. Lumion is also fully compatible with other 3D modeling programs like Nemetschek Allplan, Autodesk 3ds Max, and many others.
