It is an exciting day for us at Studica! We are celebrating our 35th business anniversary. Looking back, we recall the countless changes we have witnessed in both the education and technology industries. Through it all, we’ve learned so much, adapted to the changing landscapes, and managed to thrive by offering innovative solutions to the classroom and corporate world. We’d like to take a moment to sincerely thank all of our dedicated customers, our partners, all the amazing companies we’ve had the privilege to work with, and our staff for contributing to our success over the years.

We love this industry. We love that education is always evolving with technology. It’s always exciting and filled with opportunities. This year, while a challenge, has been a perfect example of that. Studica – 35 Years of STEM

Before the term “STEM” was even used, Studica has been offering STEM education solutions. We’ve evolved from our early days of CNC machines and software into an innovative solution supplier of future-focused technologies to the Academic Community and Industry.

When Frank Nanfara and Tony Uccello founded TorComp, the company that would become Studica, in 1985. They had noticed there was a need to help schools integrate technology used in industry into their classrooms. Bringing CNC, CAM, and CAD software to the academic market to service students and schools in the United States and Canada was the plan. Uniting technology with education is their vision.

Today not only does Studica serve students, teachers, and schools, we now offer exciting solutions for industry, competitions, and the robotics market. In fact, our Studica Robotics (SR) division develops and manufactures structural components, electronics, sensors, controllers, and complete kits that are used in competitions and education in more than fifty countries around the world. We have offices in the United States and Canada and affiliates around the world.

Our Studica team has many years of experience designing and working with motor and motion controls, mobile robot systems, and helping students at competitions all over the world. We always strive to provide innovative and effective new robotics solutions for education. 

Our Studica Robotics division offers robot kits, motors, motor mounting plates, electronics, control system components, wheels, hubs, axles, slides, structure components, and much more. Our reputation as a high-quality provider of robotics solutions has given us the opportunity to act as a Global Partner and the official exclusive product supplier for the WorldSkills Mobile Robotics Competition for Shanghai 2021.
