Our DC motors are engineered for the demands of robotics, automation and STEM classrooms. Whether you’re building a mobile robot drivetrain, powering an actuator, or teaching students about motion control, our selection of DC motors offers the performance and reliability your projects require.
The Maverick 12V DC Gear Motor 61:1 w/Encoder from Studica Robotics is an ideal high torque motor for robotics, designed for strength to endure competitions, with 100rpm and 708 oz-in of torque.
To connect to the REV Robotics Control Hub, the Maverick Encoder Cable (#70163) is required as an Add-on.
Note: This motor is legal for FIRST (FTC) competitions.
The NeveRest Orbital gearmotor is a robust planetary gearmotor designed for FTC. With many ratios to choose from you can find the right motor for you, from a fast spinning intake to a high reduction arm, all are possible with NeveRest Orbitals. They have a pre-installed encoder and an output shaft directly in the center of the output face. The shaft is a 6 mm D and the gearbox housing is 37 mm in diameter.
The NeveRest 40 is a gearmotor with an attached encoder. The output shaft geometry and the gearbox housing diameter is similar to what FTC teams are familiar with. The shaft is a 6 mm D and the gearbox housing is 37 mm diameter.
